The full 'block - by - block' story of how I built my Website!

I started off with the idea of having a women's health website to share info. and health advice since this is my area of special interest as a medical doctor. I thought about exploring the idea while waiting for my state medical license to come through. The big problem was I hadn't the faintest idea how to go about it. I didn't even know how to 'surf the net' talk less start a website. So I thought the first thing would be to educate myself a bit.

Thank God for public libraries, especially when one is fairly limited on cash. Well, off I went to the local library and dug up all the titles I could find related to starting a home internet business and creating a website. Amongst these books was one I found to be a very useful starting point, so much so that I subsequently bought my own copy. The title is "Multiple Streams of Internet Income" by Robert Allen, I highly recommend it to anyone getting started for the first time on any internet/ web related project.

The contributions of two of the many different internet experts that wrote portions of this book impressed me so I decided to check out their websites. One of these two experts was Ken Evoy, the other was Corey Rudl. I discovered Ken Evoy had created and published a whole line of software and books geared both towards people like myself who are beginners with the internet and internet business as well as to help already established internet businesses.

I used his start up package called Site Build It! which is very easy to use. It not only built my website from scratch but even more importantly, helped me brainstorm and research my idea to refine it. This saved me a lot of time "barking up the wrong tree" as I soon discovered there were already lots of 'big' women's health websites out there on the net.
